📸 Back to Iheimisch 2026

Sometimes, just a glance at a few photos is enough to transport you right back into the middle of it all.

That's exactly how we felt recently when we looked through the photos from Iheimisch Nidwalden again. The exhibition halls are long since empty, the stands dismantled, and our vehicles are now out on many new jobs. And yet, some memories remain particularly vivid.

đźšš Although von Holzen Transport wasn't an exhibitor at Iheimisch ourselves, we were able to deliver materials, exhibition goods, and exhibition stands on behalf of various exhibitors. This allowed us to experience the days leading up to the opening from a perspective that visitors would later rarely get to see.

Even during setup, it was palpable throughout the entire area that something special was taking shape. Everywhere, people were assembling things, setting up, decorating, and organizing. Boxes were being unloaded, machines positioned, and final details prepared. Everyone was working on their own stand – and yet, at the same time, something much bigger was emerging.

📦 For us, these kinds of assignments are always exciting. While many only arrive for the opening, we often experience the first stages of an event. You see how an empty hall gradually transforms into a vibrant exhibition.

The atmosphere was particularly wonderful. Despite the tight deadlines, last-minute adjustments, and extensive preparations, everyone was working with great enthusiasm. We met familiar faces from Nidwalden and Obwalden, exchanged a few words between deliveries, and felt the palpable anticipation for the upcoming trade fair days.

Despite the rain, great teamwork at the iheimisch 2026

🌦️ And then the weather arrived.

Not every day was sunny. Clouds repeatedly drifted across the grounds, it rained on and off, but the visitors still didn't let that dampen their spirits at the Iheimisch festival.

That in particular made an impression.

Because in the end, it became clear once again what makes such events so special: People don't just come for the weather. They come for the encounters, the conversations, the regional businesses, and because they want to see what's happening in their hometown.

🏡 The Iheimisch trade fair has once again demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit, commitment, and passion of our region. Over 250 exhibitors showcased their offerings at the Herdern site in Ennetbürgen, highlighting the diverse range of businesses, associations, and companies in Nidwalden and the surrounding area. Despite the mixed weather, the event welcomed over 30,000 visitors – a powerful testament to the strong connection with our region.

đź’™ What was especially wonderful for us was that we were able to experience the Iheimisch not only professionally.

Once our transport was complete, we also visited the exhibition privately with family and friends. Finally, we had time to stroll through the halls, meet familiar faces, discover exciting exhibitors, and enjoy the special atmosphere of the grounds.

It quickly became clear why Iheimisch is far more than just a trade fair. It's a meeting place for the entire region. A place to meet, exchange ideas, and see what's being accomplished right on their doorstep.

📸 When we look through our photos today, we don't just remember the deliveries or the setup. We think about the many encounters, the good atmosphere despite the rainy weather, the packed halls, and the joy that was palpable throughout the entire area.

🙏 Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to simply say thank you.

Thanks to the organizing committee, the volunteers, the exhibitors, sponsors, clubs, and everyone involved who made this event possible. What was created in Ennetbürgen was far more than an exhibition – it was a festival for the entire region. The organizers themselves would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the more than 30,000 visitors and everyone involved who contributed to the success of Iheimisch.

We're already looking forward to the next Iheimisch. Until then, we'll have many wonderful memories – and some photos that will always remind us of these special days.
